Located in Canterbury not West Coast. Situated on DOC land and definately not private land.The clearing at the start of the 250m bush track is located 200m West of the DOC fence on the true left bank of the river. The Hut refered to in the book was burned down a few years ago and a new DOC hut built downstream which is not available for private use. Nice tepid pool. Just put the plug into the bath and sit back !! Pete, ChCH
