This series of pools is on the True Left of the Wanganui River about 200m downstream of Smyth hut. The GPSand#8217;d position of the lower larger pool is NZTM2000 E1425057 N5213782 (for the Topo 50 maps) There is a marked walking route which is the same as for DOCand#8217;s Smyth hut. Allow one big day to walk in one way. Some people break the journey by staying at Hunters hut about half way in to the pools. Trevor Kaniere, Kehutahi, Westland
